My intention is to create art that is filled with bright light & positive energy. My inspiration comes from my surroundings, thoughts, a memory or a photograph. Creating each piece is an invigorating process that is deeply healing & therapeutic.

I mix materials with combinations of high-quality watercolour & acrylic paints with added pigments, ink, pen & pencil details on cold-pressed textured, 140 lb. cotton watercolour paper, birch panels or stretched cotton canvas. The image is first roughly sketched onto paper in graphite creating the initial layout of the piece. The colour palette of highly pigmented paint is then selected and paper tested. The paint is swept loosely onto the blank canvas or canvas creating the initial shapes. Each brushstroke with pure intention, encompassing the form.  A soft watercolour wash determines the perspective, then additional paint layers to bring out the depth and blending of  hues. Meticulous detail completes the uniquely made art piece. My art can be abstract in nature, some more illustrative. The process of creating each piece, truly unique. 

 

Some selected art pieces are now available as limited edition reproduction prints & poster paper prints. These are available in varied sizes.
