Sienna Sky

Sienna Sky is an expressive mixed-media work inspired by the meeting of warm earth and open sky. A luminous field of turquoise, powder blue, and soft lavender moves through the upper portion of the composition, gradually giving way to layers of rose, magenta, sienna, coral, and glowing gold.

Loose, radiating marks create a sense of movement across the surface, almost as though colour is gathering toward the horizon. The contrast between the cool blues above and the rich, sun-warmed tones below gives the piece a feeling of warmth, atmosphere, and late-day light.

Touches of metallic gold catch the light among the layered brushwork, adding depth and a subtle glow. The raw, irregular edges of the handmade paper remain visible, reinforcing the organic quality of the work.
